Quebec has launched two applications since it launched the Arrima Portal, in which it has invited a total of 950 applicants to apply for a Quebec Certificate of Selection or CSQ.
But the latest news posted on Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration website on August 19 has indicated the number of applicants and their profile. The most recent acceptance was on July 17, during which 259 applicants with Expression of Interest profiles and valid job offers were invited. Quebec has also issued invitations to people such as diplomats and UN envoys who have to carry out work missions in Quebec.
It is noteworthy that people who have received the invitation have 60 days to submit their full application for a Certificate of Quebec or Certificat de sélection du Québec. It was in September 2018 that Quebec unveiled the Arrima System for Managing the Quebec Skills Worker Program or QSWP. Applicants use Arrima to create an Expression of Interest profile, which is then submitted to the QSWP Applicants Bank.
The first admission was held on July 4, 2019, during which 691 invitations were issued to the following eligible applicants:
Their application for a Quebec Certificate of Completion has ended on June 16, 2019, and they have had a temporary stay in Quebec; or, their
application for a Certificate of Quebec Certificate has ended on June 16, 2019, and have been studying and working in Quebec. .
They have an Arrima profile and have submitted their Expression of Interest to the Quebec Department of Immigration before December 17 this year.
June 16, 2019 is the day that the Quebec Immigration Reform Act was adopted, in which 16,000 applications were canceled through the Eskled Werk program. All applications were canceled before the Arrima system was unveiled; Quebec Immigration makes the Arrima system more tailored to the needs of the Quebec labor market.
Applicants in either of the two prioritized categories whose applications have been canceled, and have not yet established an Arrima profile, may have until December 16, 2019, if they wish to obtain a Quebec Certificate or CSQ Certificate.
